What does the company package include?
A ZIP package brings together the report, data export and documents that are actually available. Contents depend on the particular register entry; not every field or document exists for every company.
- Company report
- Readable HTML summary of available information such as legal name, legal form, registered seat, register reference and representation, with gaps clearly identified.
- Structured data export
- JSON file for further processing of available company information.
- Current register extract (AD)
- The original current register extract, when retrievable.
- Structured register content (SI)
- Machine-readable register data in XML format, when retrievable.
- Additional register documents
- For example, a shareholder list, model formation protocol and articles of association, where applicable and available for the legal entity.
Where do the records come from, and how current are they?
LAST CRS is a service provided by LAST GmbH. It organises information and documents from German company and commercial register sources. LAST does not operate an official register or issue certified register extracts.
The report reflects the data available for this request. Source and retrieval information, along with missing fields, are identified. Register availability, document dates and cached data can affect freshness; a complete real-time record is not guaranteed.

Before you search
- Each verified email address can make five successful searches, including searches with no results, and request one company package per day. Allowances reset at midnight in the Europe/Berlin time zone.
- The package covers current available information, not a separate company history. It does not replace a legal review, certified extract, credit report or beneficial ownership check.
- Preparation can take several minutes. If retrieval is incomplete, a useful partial package identifies the missing content. If no useful package can be produced, the request is marked as failed.
- The personal download link works until the package expires after seven days. Anyone who receives the link can download that package.
German company register search: common questions
How can I find a German company without its register number?
Search using the company name with at least three consecutive letters or digits. Use a distinctive name where possible. If there are too many matches, narrow the search with the register court, type and number.
Can I search by HRB or HRA number?
Yes. Open the additional filters and enter the register court, type and number together. A number alone is not unique because different courts can assign the same number.
Why do I need to verify my email address?
Verification protects daily allowances from abuse and ensures the package goes to an address you control. No password or newsletter subscription is required. With a valid session, you do not need to verify again for every search.
Do I need another code to download the report?
No. The personal link in the completed report email starts the download without another sign-in or code. It grants access only to that package and expires after its seven-day retention period.
Are all documents always included?
No. Documents may be absent, inapplicable to the legal form or temporarily unavailable. The package explicitly identifies such gaps. It includes available original documents, a report and a JSON export.
Is LAST CRS the official German commercial register?
No. LAST CRS is an independent service from LAST GmbH that searches and organises available register information. For official entries and original sources, visit the German federal states’ register portal or the Company Register.
